Photos, finally!

finally able to upload the photos! so here they are...
17th feb. it was good to see you people. dont think i'll be going back in june so the next time i can join you all for a gathering is dec.

i walk pass this on my way to school. my mode of transport here is either tram or walk.

there're cycling lanes around. this pic was taken outside school. many ppl own bikes. sometimes i see girls in skirts and dresses cycle!

looks like some scene from the movie
people lying around. its very common to see people sitting around on open spaces in school. like they're having picnics. guess cos the grass isnt wet like in singapore. Lynn Ern, is it like that in UK too?

been visiting a few churches the past few weeks. most of the churches here are anglican. so far, i quite like this small church called Life Expedition. its quite like my church Hinghwa. probably will go there.

Lynn Ern: good to hear from you. it's kind of strange that now that i'm overseas too. i feel the same about church too. it's diff now that i've just found a church. hoping to be able to serve as well. though it's kind of hard cos the environment is different. oh, i dont watch dramas anymore  :(  the internet is too slow and i'll surely exceed my qouta if i dld. haha

In Singapore for Easter Break

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd update as well since I read Lynette's blog. Are pple still reading this blog regularly to begin with?!

Anyhow, I'm on my 4-week long easter break now and it's really great to be back here in Singapore. I've been meeting up with friends, watching a lot of tv (esp drama serials), eating alot alot ALOT, and sleeping quite a bit too (I think I haven't really gotten over the jetlag).

Life in Nottingham, UK has been as per normal. A little bit boring even. Having difficulty properly settling into a church there, am still praying very hard for God to send me friends to this church I've been attending rather regularly - it's called Christian Centre (aka T-Street). Also hoping that I'll be able to get involved in the church, because it feels so strange to be a "pew warmer", arriving in church for the service right on time and leaving immediately afterwards. Now that I'm back here in Singapore for my break, I really miss being an active member of the church, being involved in the activities and events of the church...

Oh well. Here's a short update!

*Lynette: HOW ARE YOU OVER THERE! Made alot of new friends? Found a church to settle in? Are you staying in school accommodation or something? Must tell me how overseas life is treating you! Maybe I can give you some tips;)

Hello how is everybody? :)

anyway here is an excerpt from the lent devotion on 15th March.

'Prayer is suffering's best result. What prayer leads to is the hearing of the 'still, small voice' of God saying' Do not fear'. That in turn produces the declaration of trust: ' O Lord you took up my case; you redeemed my life.' It's a trust that turns its attention away from the self and the enemy to the object and outcome of faith. When God says " Do not fear", it is a prelude to Him acting. God is more than Jermiah's defender. The Lord is the Reedemer of his life. We too can have such a confidence when we cry to God from the pit.

yup, just an encouragement to continue to trust in God when things get tough.
Especially school now.. or studying in a foreign environment..
Okay, take care and God bless :D
